Out of the Bag

Success® Whole Grain Brown Rice, White Rice, Jasmine Rice, Basmati Rice and Success® Quinoa can also be prepared "out of the bag".

If you would like to prepare in "excess water" ... In a large saucepan, bring 6 to 8 cups of water to a boil. Cut open 1 or 2 bags of Success Whole Grain Brown or White Rice and pour into boiling water. Boil 8 to 10 minutes.  For Success Jasmine or Basmati Rice, boil for 10 minutes.  Drain in a colander and serve.

Add Liquid
Bring rice or quinoa and liquid to a boil.  Cook for:
Success White Rice 14 oz.
1 1/4 cups
10 minutes uncovered.
Success White Rice 21 oz.
1 1/4 cups
10 minutes uncovered.
Success White Rice 32 oz.
1 1/2 cups
10 minutes uncovered.
Success Brown Rice 14 oz
1 1/4 cups
10 minutes uncovered.
Success Brown Rice 32 oz.
1 1/2 cups
10 minutes uncovered.
Success Jasmine Rice 14 oz.
1 cup
Reduce heat to low and cook 15 minutes, covered.
Success Basmati Rice 14 oz.
1 cup
Reduce heat to low and cook 20 minutes, covered.
Success Quinoa 12 oz.

 Empty contents of bag and water into a small saucepan (1 ½-2-quart).  Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium.  Continue to cook quinoa for 15 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed.  For more flavor, use your favorite meat or vegetable broth instead of water.
